Due to maintenance, the Bolton Building which houses the Gulf Coast office of MDOR will be closed for repairs beginning Monday, December 23, 2024. It is anticipated to be reopened Thursday, December 26, 2024, based on completion of the building maintenance. Please call (228) 436-0554 to check that the office has re-opened. The Department of Revenue has created a new way for taxpayers to submit Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (VDA). Taxpayers who wish to enter the VDA program can now email their request to vdaprogram@dor.ms.gov.

Miss. Code Ann. Section 27-65-111(ab) provides a sales tax holiday in the State of Mississippi. A sales tax holiday is a temporary period when sales taxes are not collected or paid on purchases of specific products and/or services.

Official Guide to the Sales Holiday

Senate Bill 2470 (2024 Regular Session) extended the holiday a day and moved it to the second Friday in July.

Sales Tax Holiday Notice of Changes

The Mississippi Department of Revenue will begin accepting Applications for Charitable Credit Allocations for calendar year 2024 on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, 8:00 a.m. CST.

Applications must be submitted online. You can access the application by clicking here and selecting the “Apply for a Charitable Contribution Credit” link under the Apply Online section.
