The due date for filing 2023 Mississippi Individual Income Tax Returns is April 15, 2024.
Anyone that requests an extension of time to file has until October 15, 2024 to file the return. Please note that the extension of time is for filing the return, not paying the tax. Any tax due should be paid on or before April 15, 2024 in order to avoid penalty and interest.
Mississippi will begin accepting electronically filed returns on January 29, 2024. We encourage everyone who is able to file to file electronically. If you file by paper, the most common return forms are available in your public library.
