Hours of Sales for Alcoholic Beverages
ABC Enforcement is responsible for maintaining fair and equitable enforcement of the Local Option laws, prohibition laws, and state beer laws. Since the passage of the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act, ABC Enforcement also oversees the issuance of Medical Cannabis Dispensary licenses, enforcement of all applicable state laws, administrative code, and regulation of the Medical Cannabis Dispensaries in the state of Mississippi.
To accomplish this mission, ABC Enforcement has positioned throughout Mississippi thirty-eight certified state law enforcement agents. ABC enforcement agents are dispersed within six districts and nine posts of duty where the majority maintain offices at the Department of Revenue District Offices. Since 1966, ABC agents have successfully prosecuted in excess of 40,000 liquor law violations and destroyed approximately 3,000 illicit whiskey stills.
