Internet Filing for Sales Tax
The Mississippi Department of Revenue has implemented internet filing for sales tax. This program allows for the electronic filing and payment of sales tax. Payments are required to be made electronically by ACH Debit. No additional or specialized software is required; all that is needed to file the return is a computer and internet access.
This program is only available for tax accounts registered with the DOR. If you have questions about registering with the DOR, please see How to Register for Taxes.
Filing Demonstration
A demonstration of the program is available at http://dordemo.click2file.net/. The user name is me@company.com and the password is password. Select the option "File and Pay" to begin. Next, select the filing period by selecting the year and the period (either quarterly or monthly) and then choosing GO.
Filing a return
Once ready to begin filing, please go to https://dor.click2file.net/. A first-time user should select "Set up New Account" found on the right side of the page. You will enter your tax account number and other identifying information. The first user to sign onto an account will be the system administrator for that account. This user will be able to assign rights to other users within the system.
The system provides a filing history of all returns filed through the internet application for the tax account. It allows the user to print a copy of any return submitted. A confirmation number is provided to the taxpayer once the return and payment submission are processed by the DOR. This process may take 3 days for the user to view the confirmation number.
